Traditional American restaurant

We visited RAF Duxford recently and the family was hungry so I found this great place on a short trip down the road. The restaurant is part of the hotel. Food took a little while to come but it was worth the wait! The price is very reasonable considering the portion sizes. We'll definitely pop back in if we are in the area again!

We were looking forward to trying this place out after reading all of the 5* reviews on google - but were left feeling disappointed.We were served what can at best be described as a plate of oven chips and a from-frozen plain breaded piece of chicken in a burger bun with some mayo (described on the menu as ‘Cajun chicken burger’ - though there really was nothing Cajun about it!). For £10, this was totally not worth it and rather disappointing.

Fantastic medium sized US diner style place, relaxed atmosphere, excellent coffee, large portion sizes and extremely tasty food, friendly staff, good value for money, highly recommended. The buttermilk pancakes are huge!

Amazing food, we ordered the Double Cheeseburger with BBQ Pulled Pork with Cajun fries. Really tasty, perfectly cooked and plentiful.The hosts were lovely, really friendly.Make sure you go here, you'll thank me afterwards!!

I ordered buttermilk chicken with a side of chicken wings to start. The wings were slimy and bitter and too spicy to eat. I tried peeling off the skin to avoid the taste but there was so little meat inside it was pointless and ended up leaving £11s worth of wings for the bin. The buttermilk batter was just awful, and I actually struggled to stomach it. It was nice and crunchy to the touch but the taste was so sickly, also a fermented kind of flavour. I peeled the batter away, and the meat inside was okay but I could still taste the batter so left all three pieces. The mash was edible and the onion rings were good, but the same rings you'd get at the pub. I spent the rest of the evening feeling very nauseated and the thought of buttermilk chicken just turns my stomach now!! Had to pull over on my way home thinking I may vomit. First and definite last time I'll be visiting. Also, there is a weird smell in the restaurant, like a farm!! Couldn't put my finger on it but other reviews say the same so at least it's not just me.

Wonderful ambience and great experience on a Friday night. Amazing, fast and efficient service. Tried some good cocktails.Recommendations:Shaun of the Dead : 10/10( if you need something boozy and strong)Coco club : 8/10 ( if you are a person who loves something light then it’s 10/10, a tropical cocktail i would say)Zombie : 10/10 ( My favourite wherever i go)

Celebrated my Birthday here, they opened up early especially for us, the pool tables, staff and food were absolutely amazing. Great communication on the lead up to the event and great service on the day.

Check your bill and check again. Missed the main course so had to eat it separately after my partner had finished.The pub part of the bar was quite loud and have to walk through to be seated. The food was okay and wouldn’t say its value for money. Eaten in better “American diners” not that any part of the section for the restaurant felt American at all.

The environment is great, but the food was quite disappointing, especially given the fact it's not a particularly cheap place. First of all, the variety was the worst I've seen in a multi-vendor location. E.g. the chickens burgers

Decent food and beer. Good place to stop in for lunch with a wide selection. Burger was a bit dry and small in the bun for the price paid.
