Cajun restaurant

Do not even hesitate. Go and enjoy some proper food for the soul. Three of us dined there with a mixed selection of starters and mains. I can honestly say each and every dish tasted supreme. It's a no nonsense eatery that focuses on the food. It does what it says on the tin. Will absolutely be back

I have been visiting The Tavern for many years now. Although I still come, I have found the quality of food to have gone down over the past couple of years, even thought the price has increased a lot! The staff are friendly, but I do not think they have enough as you always have to wait a long time to get your order taken, and then for the bill.I feel as if the restaurant itself could do with a deep clean, it looks dusty.Can I please point out that although I am writing this, it will still not stop me visiting :)

The food was incredible. A recommendation from a friend. It looks fairly unassuming, but that adds to it's charm. The food cannot be beat, for the price, authenticity and flavour. Great selection of traditional soul food, and some great twists. Definitely making another visit when I'm up north again!

Best breakfast un the uk. I live in Bristol these days and every time I visit Liverpool and bring the Bristol crew with me I take them to the Tavern and they love it

I visited today for the second time.. I was very impressed with the food and thought that the flavouring for all items was exceptional and very authentic.The only reason I have left a 4-star review and not 5 is because I (unfortunately) found a hair in the rice with the jerk chicken portion, which meant I couldn’t finish it.I know most people would just slate a place as a result but I have to be honest, the food was perfect aside from this one oversight - I have worked in catering myself and know mistakes can happen and this review is purely to give the owner some genuine and constructive feedback.I hope they can perhaps reflect on this minor lapse - nonetheless, I definitely do intend to revisit.

Loved it here, such a lovely location! Gorgeous pub, went for the Saturday jazz brunch, with New Orleans food and live music! Will definitely pop back to this pub when next in London.

Amazing place, first time visiting definitely wont be the last!

This is a wonderful place to celebrate a party or birthday. They have managed well and the decoration was pretty. If you are looking for a celebration of your occasion. Talk with them. They will provide you with good service and food. Tasty food, Decoration and staff behaviour was very polite.

Angry Crab is a popular restaurant. I went on a Saturday evening and had to queue and join a waiting list. It was a short wait as my friend out her name down once she arrived so by the time we all arrived to was only a 5 minute wait.We ordered a variety of cocktails which weren’t strong. We started with some appetisers; fries, fried shrimp, Buffalo wings and calamari. The calamari was my favourite as it had a nice kick.We were a group of 8 so ordered the Neighbourhood Block Party with the medium Trifecta sauce. This included Lobster, Crab, Mussells, Clams, potatoes and Corn on the Corn. It was amazing. The sauce was delicious but oily.I will definitely be back.

When I'm going to crown for atmospheric and good taste and also their service is also nice
