Waste of time

Beware of them scamming you! My car had a punctured tyre and we asked the person to know if they can check it out and repair the puncture. They came back to me with a quote of £623.13 and said they wont be able to fix the puncture as its deemed unrepairable and too dangerous. They said both back 2 tyres and 1 front where at 2mm thread and required to be replaced. Shocking as one of the back tyre’s was replaced not too long ago (December). I was in disbelief and brought a tyre thread checker from amazon and it turns out they where lying. Back tyres measured at 2.6mm, 3.6mm (the one replaced in December) and front was 3.5mm. Moral of the story DON’T TRUST WHAT THEY SAY BLINDLY! Make sure you check elsewhere for a second opinion.

What can I say....Ste is one of the most knowledgeable, informative and honest mechanic/engineer I've ever had the pleasure to deal with.Explains everything in a manner you understand, honest and most importantly extremely trustworthy.So my advice is if you want someone you can trust, you'll find no better than 5speed!!!

Closing down.

A customer for several years. A very professional organisation, just to look at the workshop will tell you 'quality is spoken here'! Front office and workshop team are very friendly and deliver a first class service. Unlike main dealers they are not 'part swappers' they are true mechanics who look for the best solution to your problem.

When my van wouldn't start I called Doug and he came and had a look the same day. He advised that I needed a new battery and alternator. He promptly advised the cost of the repair and two days later he carried out the work. Doug did a great job at a reasonable price and he was very efficient and helpful. I will definitely be using him again and I highly recommend him.

I have been doing my car servicing and mot with Anton for a couple of years. He is a very honest men that knows his trade well. I would highly recommend him.

My go to garage in Northampton. They are always busy and for good reason. MOT'd my car here twice. Speedy and professional service. I've had my exhaust replaced here and they've always done me a solid. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
